Abandoning belly dancing as a career, Nicki Grihault set off to live, work and travel abroad. After jillarooing in Australia, teaching English in Rome and tour repping in the Indian Himalaya it was perhaps inevitable that she would become a travel writer although her degree is in psychology. She has worked both for Wanderlust magazine and Culture Shock! Guides and has been travel editor at Executive Woman and assistant editor at Woman Abroad magazines. She is author of Working in Asia (In Print Publishing, 1996) and Culture Smart! India (Kuperard, 2003). Nicki is currently a freelance writer for a variety of magazines and newspapers. She is frequently abroad and always on the lookout for romantic destinations around the world. |
