Jamie McGuinness left university mid-way through studying engineering, to discover the world. After prospecting for gold in the western deserts of Australia, training huskies in Sweden and selling Trans-Siberian train tickets in Hong Kong, he finally found his place in it - as a Himalayan trekker. To satisfy a yesteryear sense of exploration, for much of the year Jamie can be found in Nepal leading treks and climbs or exploring the forgotten corners of the country. He is the author of Trekking in the Everest Region and Trekking in Langtang, Helambu & Gosainkund. His latest project is publishing trekking information for less frequented regions of Nepal on the Internet. When not in Nepal he can be found surfing or skiing in New Zealand. |
